About Amanda
I received my Bachelors in British Literature from Stony Brook University and my MEd from Dowling College. I am a laid back teacher who has a passion for reading, analyzing, and of course teaching. I was a middle school teacher for over 8 years and loved it.

My method is to allow the student to be guided by prompts in order to get students thinking out loud. This method, whether the answer is correct or not, allows the student to feel no pressure while being guided by me towards the correct answer. I model this in the classroom with students.
