About Ryker

I’m a current UWA medical student with a strong background in tutoring, teaching and medical interview preparation.

When applying to medicine, I achieved one of the highest MMI scores in my UWA interview cohort. Since then, I’ve helped other applicants prepare for their own interviews, with multiple students I tutored last year successfully receiving offers into medicine.

Before medicine, I completed a Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science with a GPA of 6.73, receiving multiple Academic Excellence Awards. I also have several years of tutoring and university peer-teaching experience.

My teaching style is supportive, practical and highly individualised. I focus on helping students communicate confidently, structure their thinking clearly and develop answers that sound genuine rather than rehearsed.

Having been through the process myself, I know how overwhelming MMI preparation can feel, and my goal is to make it much more structured, manageable and effective.

About the lesson

My MMI lessons are built around realistic practice, clear frameworks and detailed feedback.

The first session is free and gives us a chance to identify your goals, strengths and areas for improvement. We’ll also work through a practice station so I can assess your current approach and build a preparation plan around you.

Sessions can include:
Timed MMI station practice
Ethics and professionalism
Communication scenarios
Rural and Indigenous health
Motivation for medicine and personal questions
Structuring unfamiliar stations
Full mock interviews
Detailed, actionable feedback

I don’t teach students to memorise scripted answers. Instead, I help you develop a reliable way of thinking through different station types so you can respond naturally and confidently under pressure.

Lessons are typically 60 minutes and are completely tailored to your stage of preparation and target university.
