About Latonya
Earning an MMus Vocal Studies degree felt academic, but teaching 224 students across 13 years taught me the reality of linguistic nuances. I admit that learning a new language is often more about rhythm than raw memorization. My lessons cover cultural context, pronunciation, grammar, exam preparation for DELE, everyday phrases for beginners, idioms, expressions, verb conjugation, Latin American vs Castilian variants, travel Spanish, and writing skills. My goal is to see you navigate these structures with ease during your next trip abroad.

Stepping into your first lesson often involves identifying which sounds feel natural and which ones require a bit more effort from your mouth muscles. We spend time breaking down complex grammar rules by comparing Latin American and Castilian variants, making sure you understand the logic behind the conjugation before we move to fluid conversation. Because I have spent 13 years teaching, I know how to pace these sessions so you never feel overwhelmed by the vocabulary. We incorporate recorded listening drills for daily practice to keep your ears tuned between meetings.
