About Raphael
I am a Ph.D. Student at Carnegie Mellon University. I obtained my bachelors from the University of Chicago majoring in molecular engineering. I specialize in the chemistry of water resources and sustainability. Through my major and internships I have tackled sustainability problems utilizing data science, mechanics, chemistry, and machine learning algorithms to optimize and solve many scales of problems. Along with this practice, I have tutored and taught many students before, learning optimized teaching methods from the best professors there are.

I teach by helping students break down problems into smaller, digestible parts. This teaching method ultimately helps the student digest problems and concepts in a more efficient and complete way. I have tutored many students in a variety of subjects, from math to chemistry to music, and every time, this method of clear teaching aids the students ability to tackle new problems and new concepts on their own.
