About Sam

I am a 27yo Australian with a double degree in Science and Global Studies at Monash University. I work as a business development manager for an electrical engineering firm, but am looking for innovative ways to keep in touch with my passion of German in my spare time.

Despite not being a native speaker, my qualifications and credentials are substantial:

- scaled mark of 47/50 at Scotch College (VCE).
- German major at Monash University.
- lived in Germany (Regensburg and Cologne) for a total of over a year.

I have never tutored before (apart from younger students at my own school), but I am confident in my German abilities and believe I offer what German natives may not - familiarity with the Australian education system (or academic framework for German learning) and a German basis well-established in the grammatical fundamentals - I understand German in a way that we who speak English do not understand English.

My German comes with great pronunciation and an intertwined localised twist having lived in the country on several occasions.

About the lesson

I imagine our first session will be going over your current work/homework and identifying strengths/weaknesses. The direction of our sessions will go from there.

I imagine the first sessions would be free as we both explore the partnership and performance.

First session will be free in order to both assess my performance and the student/work nature. $25-30/hr for 1-2 hour sessions then succeeding.
