About Serena
I have been tutoring in English (including editing/ proofreading papers) since I was in high school and have always taken pride in improving people's writing skills and vocabulary. I got a 760 on the Writing section of the SAT and have tutored as part of the National English Honour Society. I also currently do private tutoring for a few Year 10 and 11 students.

I familiarise myself first with their reading material or assignment. I then tend to go over a student's writing and point out the places that need work, for example textual evidence, sentence fluency, vocabulary, or reasoning. Then I help them to come up with alternatives themselves so that I don't directly provide them with answers. I encourage them to find better and more effective ways to deliver their point essentially.
