Many guitarists (myself included) have done years of work just to have to go back and correct bad habits. I prefer to start with tried-and-tested guitar method textbooks to make sure the student starts with a strong foundation; that being said, I also find it extremely important to sprinkle in exercises/songs chosen collaboratively by myself and the student to keep it relevant and engaging.
I am able to teach most experience levels - if I don't feel up to it, I will advise - in classical and contemporary styles, as well as improvisation and western music theory.
I will also teach any age, providing constant feedback on how I think the student is progressing.
