About Lewis
I'm here to get students in Dundee the best results possible in your upcoming SQA National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher Maths and Physics exams. I come prepared with a tried-and-tested strategy to identify the way forward, and take effective action to build weaknesses into strengths and maximise your Maths and Physics exam results. I meet my students where they are at - as everybody is at a different stage, and everybody's brain works differently. And I meet them with compassion and patience and break things down in a way anyone can understand. I go out of my way to give my students everything I can so that they succeed, whether it means getting a phone update during the week, or providing some extra support by email or text. Anything necessary to get you the results you need. In terms of my history aside from teaching: Following graduation from the University of Glasgow with a degree in Astrophysics in 2015, I took my abilities to the defence industry where I developed RADAR algorithms for fighter jets for 4 years. I also worked for a Financial Technology company in Belgium for 2 years, and spent the following 2 years travelling Europe. I am well-travelled, I speak French and Spanish, I hit the gym regularly and I'm always open to meeting and getting to know new people. I was always tutoring on the side, but I also teach English to foreigners sometimes.

I teach National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher Maths and Physics to maximise your results in your exam. I believe that real learning happens in relationship which is why I prefer in-person lessons. I am extremely patient and kind and I see the potential in all my students. The way I tutor is the same way I was tutored in high school - the strategies my tutor taught me back then were the same strategies I used to achieve my Master's degree in Astrophysics.
