About Brooke
I am a multifaceted human being! I got a degree in visual art from University of San Diego but my first 2 years of college I studied chemistry and calculus because I thought I wanted to be a pharmacist. In the end, the creativity of math and sciences led me to art but I continued to tutor math, science, English, history, and teach art throughout university and for a few years after. I love sharing my skills to try to help students find joy in school and learning because if we have to go through it we might as well enjoy it! I am currently traveling the world as a digital nomad so I am transitioning my tutoring to online. I can share insight from the world to help with life as well as school :)

I typically have students send me what they are working on ahead of time as well as what challenges them most so that we can begin the session getting to the root of what's needed most! I love creating a space where students can feel welcome to share what they are going through, ask questions, and generally feel safe to open up. I never judge any question or misunderstanding! I have a building blocks approach where I make sure the student understands the foundation before we add more complicated situations to the lesson. This helps overall comprehension vs memorization techniques.
