About Vedia

I’m passionate about helping students understand science and academic skills in a way that is clear, engaging, and tailored to how you learn best. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences, a Master's in Molecular Medicine, and a PhD in Pharmacology, Pharmacy, and Toxicology. Since 2015, I’ve been teaching medical and biomedical sciences students even law and computer science students, combining academic expertise with a flexible teaching approach that adapts to the needs of each individual. Whether you're preparing for exams or trying to grasp complex concepts, I’m here to support you with personalised, effective learning. My research focuses on drug development, receptor discovery, and sustainable tissue culture methods, with a strong emphasis on inflammation and its role in chronic diseases such as arthritis and osteoarthritis. I’m passionate about translating cutting-edge research into teaching, bringing real-world relevance into every session. I’ve had the privilege of presenting my research at national and international conferences, earning recognition along the way including presentation prizes in Canada and Italy, and additional awards from conferences across the UK. Understanding that every student learns differently, I tailor my teaching to suit all types of VARK learners—visual, auditory, reading/writing, and kinaesthetic. To support this, I’ve even developed my own assessment tool to identify your learning style and design lessons that work for you. About the lesson

I tailor my teaching style to suit all types of VARK learners and have developed my own assessment to identify the most effective approach for your learning experience. I have a PhD in Pharmacology, Pharmacy and Toxicology, and have been a lecturer since 2015 teaching medical students and biomedical sciences students. I have taught all levels of students at Higher Level education; Foundation level through to Masters level. A typical session can range from one hour to two hours depending on what you require support on. I offer support with homework, study skills help, exam preparation, and how to write a thesis. Additional support on writing personal statements for institution transfers can also be provided.
