About Mila
I am a Brazilian/Australian and am passionate about languages. I majored in Spanish and Latin American studies at the University of Melbourne with a High distinction average, I lived in Emilia Romagna in the North of Italy for three years as a child and fell in love with the French language at high school and even more when I started dating a French man! I am currently working on my Portuguese... I have been casually tutoring high school students during my tertiary studies (since 2016) and find it is a pleasure rather than a chore to me as I'm a people person and it allows me to combine my two passions: beautiful languages and interacting with different people. I have great rapports and friendships with all my past students and feel immense pride in their successes - big or small.

I have an informal teaching style as I find it important for my students to feel comfortable enough around me to make mistakes - this is how we learn and improve! Depending on your needs and goals, we can either work on an assignment or specific issue you wish to work on, otherwise we can start from scratch and work through a textbook, topic by topic. I like to get creative and think of fun ways to learn the language rather than always sticking to a book however so the session is dynamic and engaging for you. At the end of the day, I am a great observer and will ensure the tutoring sessions are tailored to suit your individual needs. I offer both online or in-person sessions.
