About Bellsye
I'm in my second year of study at Murdoch Uni, majoring in Sound, and have been playing saxophone for ten years now. I've played in a range of concert and smaller bands and ensembles, and have performed solo countless times over the previous ten years. During high school I mentored younger students, particularly during band practices, and have taught lessons to young adults.

I teach all ages, from beginner to intermediate levels.
My aim for teaching saxophone is to help you work towards your goals. If you are unsure of what you want, I have several books that I enjoyed learning from, and that I like to use when teaching others, as well as flexible lesson plans set up to help you progress. I like to use material that the student enjoys, and am happy to incorporate your own material (e.g. books, song suggestions) into the lesson.
During a lesson, I like to first run through the previous weeks practice material and check for any difficulties or questions the student had. I then like to move onto the next weeks practice material and run through it a few times so the student knows what to do when practicing. Week to week practice material generally consists of scales, short exercises, and short songs. I also like to work on a longer piece over a few weeks, and to check in each lesson. I will often play short duets during lessons with the student so that they get a feel of how to play with others.
