About Anna
Hi! I am an undergraduate student at New York University. I am studying International Relations and Environmental Science, but I have always had a huge love for math. I took AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, and IB Mathematics; Analysis and Approaches HL in high school, scoring highly on all. I am cheerful and fun! You won't be bored during our lessons!

My lessons are for late elementary school, middle school, and early high school math. I focus on building a solid understanding of foundational math skills. The most important part of my teaching approach is helping students understand WHY they are doing what they are doing. Instead of just memorizing steps, deeply understanding WHY things happen in math allows for advancing critical thinking, problem solving, and makes it easier to learn harder concepts later on! A typical lesson plan includes a diagnostic warm up, a teaching of the main topic, a focus on homework questions and misunderstandings, and challenge questions to finish it off.
