I have worked with youth since I was in 10th grade as a ski coach and within the past few years have begun tutoring in math and science. I am confident in my ability to help others understand complex concepts. I hope to teach students but also have a fun time while doing it!

My approach to tutoring is allowing the student to understand the material truly. How to manipulate the material, how it fits in with past material and how it will fit in with future material. I feel this is a much better technique than showing the student how to plug the numbers into the calculator and solve similar practice problems. This leaves the student confused when they come across problems with a different format than the ones that they went over with the tutor, but when the student has a deeper understanding of the topics they will not be phased if the problem is not of a format that they have encountered in practice.
