My name is James, I am currently Master's student on an Evolutionary biology Erasmus scheme known as MEME. This course allows me to study all across the world for two years at universities such as Montpellier and Harvard. I completed my Bachelor's degree at Oxford University where I read Biological Sciences.
As it is probably clear my main interest is in Biology but I also have a love for all things science. When I was growing up my mum was an English teacher, not only has this given me a passion for English language and literature but has also fostered a love for teaching. Throughout school I tutored children in my neighbourhood, from ages 8-16 and ranging from science to Shakespeare. I have also taken part in teaching experience trips to India and Japan to learn first hand from their teaching methods. I am comfortable teaching Biology, Physics, English and Maths to an A2 standard and chemistry to an As standard
Besides teaching I enjoy listening to a broad range of music, with a particular interest in R&B and rock. Most summers I go to festivals and try and catch live local music as well. As well as music I also enjoy sports, my main sports being cricket, rugby and lacrosse.
