About Samuel
I am a 25 year old who works in IT. I have three cats, all of whom are more valuable to me than gold, as well as a wife of about 3 years now. I love pretty much anything sci-fi related, and I wish I could still play with legos without it being weird. Ask me about the game series Metroid and I can talk your ear off for a few hours at least!
In terms of more relevant experience, I worked at a group home for children with criminal charges for about 2-3 years, and during that time I was a substitute teacher. I eventually moved up to being an actual teacher there, before eventually leaving to live closer to family. I had already finished my college degree while living there, so I went back to school to start getting certified as a math teacher. I have also taken the proper testing to teach history and social studies, as that was my original goal before switching to math.

My main goal is to understand where you are at in your knowledge level, identify what you need to understand in order to progress, and then help you achieve your goals. I do not do the work for you, but instead I will show you how the work needs to be done. This may seem obvious, but this is an important factor in teaching just about anybody anything. You have to be able to ask the right questions and understand gaps in knowledge to progress through a subject.
I mainly will work at getting to know you and how you learn new concepts, and then we will work on bridging the gap between what you know and what you don't know. After that, we will reinforce these learned concepts together. Once you have these concepts down, you are on your way to sweet, sweet victory.
