About Alex
I am a recent graduate and Sports Scholar in Swimming from the University of Surrey. As a High Performance Swimmer I have achieved Medal and Final Positions in several events at National Level competitions and most recently competed at the British and Spanish Olympic Trials 2024. I have been a Swimming Teacher/Coach since 2015 and a Level 2 Qualified Swimming teacher for over 7 years. Having led countless school swimming lessons for Guildford High School I am experienced in taking students from Stage 1 through to Stage 10 of the Swim England Framework. I have experience in group and 1:1 classes, as well as coaching outstandingly talented young swimmers from the Guildford City Swimming Club programme and coaching the Masters group. I have worked with adults learning to swim as well as disabled students. I am NRASTC (National Rescue Test for Swimming Teachers and Coaches) Qualified, and have been NPLQ (Lifeguarding) Qualified. I am also First Aid trained, DBS checked and fully insured. Lastly, I am certified as a PADI Adventure (30m depth) scuba-diver.
