About Sophie
I am a native Chinese and lived my childhood in China. Then, I moved to France and did my secondary education in a local French middle school and high school. I personally learned French as a second language and I used different methods and had different teachers. My personal experience helps me to better understand the problems of foreign speakers learning French and to better help them in many ways.
I guarantee you a positive and relaxed atmosphere during our lessons.
My teaching vary according to your needs and level:
-There will always be a personal note (course content, vocabulary and homework) sent immediately after the course.

Currently a university student, I offer tutoring and support to students according to their needs in French or Chinese (Mandarin only) for £15/hr during the weekend preferably. Whether it's initializing the language or preparing for certain exams (GCSEs/A-Levels or equivalent).
For French lessons,
We will first work on the basics, i.e. pronunciation and basic rules that you need to know about the French language.
We will then learn words and grammar through a variety of conversational activities using photos, videos, PowerPoint presentations and role-playing.
I would also like to share my knowledge of French culture and history to better understand and learn the language.
I also offer Chinese classes.
The lessons emphasize on listening and speaking. I will initialise you to Pinyin (alphabetical system), tones, pronunciation and writing of the most common Chinese characters. I will also help you to master essential vocabulary and basic grammar.
For those who are looking for academic help (homework help+GCSEs/A-Level), we can look together at points you need to master to pass the exam. I can also correct homework and offer intensive courses for oral/written practice.
