About Ethan
Hi, my name is Ethan Hu. I am born and raised in Shanghai. I took the traditional Chinese education path and have a solid Chinese knowledge ability. I’m currently studying a Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in Accounting at UNSW, where I have maintained a Distinction average mark. I enjoy helping students understand concepts clearly, build confidence, and develop solid language skills. I adapt my teaching to each student’s needs and focus on creating a supportive and engaging learning environment.

My approach to tutoring Chinese focuses on making learning engaging, clear, and enjoyable. I break down lessons into manageable steps, use examples from everyday life, and encourage students to actively practice speaking, reading, and writing. Lessons are typically 45–60 minutes, allowing enough time to review previous material, introduce new concepts, and complete exercises. As a native Chinese speaker with a domestic education in China and currently studying Accounting at UNSW with a Distinction average, I have a strong academic foundation and the patience to guide students at their own pace. My lessons are designed for anyone with an interest in learning Chinese, helping them build confidence, vocabulary, and a love for the language.
