About Yan
Hello! My name is Xiaoyan, and I am a native Mandarin speaker from China. I am currently studying a Master of Management at Monash University in Melbourne.
Before coming to Australia, I worked for several years in communication, marketing, and media-related roles. My background in Journalism and professional communication has helped me develop strong language, presentation, and interpersonal skills, which I now bring into my teaching.
I enjoy meeting people from different cultures and helping them gain confidence in using Chinese. I understand that learning a new language can sometimes feel challenging, so I aim to create a friendly, patient, and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making progress at their own pace.
Whether you are learning Chinese for travel, work, study, HSK examinations, or personal interest, I would be happy to help you achieve your goals and discover more about Chinese language and culture along the way.
