About ZHIANG

Hi, I’m Zhiang! I’m a college student and a native Mandarin Chinese speaker. I grew up speaking Chinese and can help students learn not only the language, but also how Mandarin is naturally used in everyday conversations.

I’m patient, friendly, and easy to talk to, and I want my students to feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions. I believe learning a language should be enjoyable and connected to things you actually care about.

Outside of school, I’m especially interested in fashion, music, and movies. I enjoy bringing these interests into lessons when possible, whether that means discussing a favorite artist, talking about fashion trends, or learning Chinese through movies and popular culture. This can make lessons feel more natural and engaging instead of just memorizing vocabulary from a textbook.

Whether you are completely new to Chinese or already have some experience, I will adapt lessons to your goals and help you build confidence step by step.

About the lesson

As a native Mandarin speaker and current college student, I focus on making Chinese practical, comfortable, and easy to use in real-life situations. My teaching style is conversation-based and personalized, so I adjust each lesson based on the student’s level, goals, and interests.

A typical lesson may include pronunciation and tones, useful vocabulary, sentence structure, speaking practice, and short conversations based on everyday situations. For beginners, I focus on building confidence with basic expressions and pronunciation. For more advanced students, I can help with natural conversation, listening, vocabulary, and understanding how Chinese is actually used in daily life.

What sets me apart is that I can explain both the language and the cultural context behind it. I understand that learning Chinese can feel difficult at first, especially because of tones and characters, so I try to keep lessons relaxed, clear, and interactive instead of overly formal.

My lessons are suitable for beginners, middle or high school students, college students, and anyone who wants to improve their conversational Mandarin, pronunciation, vocabulary, or general understanding of Chinese language and culture.
