About Juan

Hey! My name is Juan Manuel, and I’m a student from Colombia. I am very interested in language, science, and culture.

My nature is curious and talkative. I like to discuss many different topics. I am fond of learning languages and this has allowed me to understand that it is essential to have a friendly atmosphere where one can err, ask, and become more secure gradually.

At the moment I work on my English and so I know what it is like to be a language student. I try to keep this in mind while conducting the lessons since I want to avoid a strict approach and make classes interesting.

Apart from languages, I like mathematics, physics, technology, and new discoveries – so there is always something to talk about!

I am kind, patient, and very interested in my students. Each student is unique and I try to adapt our conversations to meet their particular needs and desires.

About the lesson

Hi! I'm Juan Manuel, a native Spanish speaker from Colombia, and I offer relaxed, conversation-focused Spanish lessons for students who want to actually use Spanish in real life.

I believe the best way to improve a language is to use it. My lessons are centred around conversation, allowing you to practise Spanish while talking about your hobbies, everyday life, interests, culture, and anything else you enjoy discussing. I'll gradually introduce new vocabulary and expressions while giving you personalised corrections to help improve your fluency, pronunciation, grammar, and overall speaking skills.

I can adapt each lesson to your level and goals. Whether you're a complete beginner, an intermediate learner, or already comfortable speaking Spanish, I'll make sure the conversation is appropriate for your level while still giving you opportunities to improve.

I also have a C1 level of English, which allows me to explain corrections clearly when necessary. If you make a mistake, I can explain not only what needs to be changed, but also why, using examples and comparisons with English when helpful.

My lessons are flexible and can last from one hour onwards, depending on what works best for you. I believe that conversation should be a natural part of learning a language, because we use it every day.

Whether you want to become more confident speaking Spanish, practise for a trip, maintain your current level, or simply have someone to talk to in Spanish, I'd be happy to help.
