I’m Feline Poot, a native Dutch speaker, born and raised in the Netherlands — and I’m here to help you achieve your goals in learning Dutch, just like I’ve achieved mine. I’m not just a language tutor — I’m also a professional softball player, a 3x National Champion, and a 3x All-American at the collegiate level in the U.S. Sports have taught me a lot about dedication, discipline, and teamwork — values I bring into every lesson I teach. In 2019, I moved to the United States to follow my dream of playing college softball. But none of that would’ve been possible if I hadn’t learned a new language. Learning English opened doors for me — and now I want to help you do the same with Dutch. I know what it’s like to feel nervous about speaking a new language. But I promise — it’s not as scary as it seems. With the right support and a personalized approach, you’ll be amazed at what you can achieve. Learn Dutch with a Native Speaker – Tailored Lessons Just for You! Hi there! I'm an enthusiastic native Dutch speaker, born and raised in the Netherlands, and I'm here to help you master Dutch in a way that truly works for you. My approach is completely student-centered. I believe the best way to learn a language is through a method that adapts to your unique learning style and personal goals. Whether you're a beginner looking to build a solid foundation, or you're working towards fluency for work, study, or personal reasons — I’ve got you covered. Here’s how I work: • We start with a chat to get a feel for your current level and what you want to achieve. • I’ll assess how you learn best — some people are visual learners, others prefer practice through conversation, grammar drills, or writing exercises. • Based on this, I’ll create a custom learning plan designed to help you progress faster and more effectively. A Typical Lesson Plan No two lessons are the same, but here's a general outline: 1. Warm-up – light conversation to get comfortable in Dutch. 2. Review – a quick check-in on what we covered last time. 3. New material – based on your level and goals (could be grammar, vocab, pronunciation, etc.) 4. Practice – interactive exercises, role-playing, or writing/speaking tasks. 5. Wrap-up & feedback – I’ll make sure you walk away confident and clear on what’s next.
