About Jestale

Hello, my name is Jestale, fully bilingual in both English and French. I grew up in Cameroon which is popular for its cultural diversity and being one of the few officially bilingual countries in the world.
I grew up in the francophone part and didn’t always speak of even understand English. I personally developed my linguistic skills in English and this was extremely hard on my own. I understand what it is like to learn a new language and would be happy to assist you through this journey.

I think there is a beauty in expressing ourselves in more than one language, intellectually and socially. I would like to give others the opportunity to do so and understand this sentiment.️

About the lesson

Reading wise:
A clear and concise review of the alphabet and its sounds
Practice reading once a week with elementary level books or any book of your choice if that’d make it more interesting to learn

Writing:
Weekly review of grammatical notions (conjugation of verbs in different tenses, plurality of words and exceptions to each grammatical rule )
Differentiating homonyms (son, sont, son; mer, mère, maire)
And more

Vocabulary:
Each week, you’ll be given a text related to a particular topic and will have to build a list of new words related to each topic. Make sure to bring your dictionary during these sessions
