About Nathalie
A little about me
Bonjour! I’m a 43-year-old native French speaker, born and raised in Nice, France!
My academic and professional journey has taken me quite far from the French Riviera. I studied at Manchester Business School, where I earned a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA). I then spent more than 10 years working as a private banker, an experience that taught me a great deal about communication, relationships, listening, and understanding people.
In 2020, I decided to take a new direction and move into the academic world. I joined the University of Nice in France as a project manager, where I discovered the fascinating environment of higher education.
It was there that I was given the opportunity to teach English at university level. I taught students from very different backgrounds and at several schools including the Law and Business Schools, among others.
And then I thought: Why not teach French too? It's my native language!
So, in 2020, I started teaching French online.
Since then, I have had the pleasure of teaching students from all over the world — from Texas to Kyiv, Moscow to Beijing, Hong Kong to Switzerland... I teach students of all ages, from 7 years old to adults, and from complete beginners to advanced French speakers.
What I love most throughout this experience is the relationship I build with my students.
Teaching French isn't simply about conjugation tables and vocabulary lists. It is about building confidence, having fun, and giving students the feeling that they are actually using the language rather than simply studying it.
I would love to help you discover not only the French language, but also the culture, humour, art, traditions, and everyday way of life that make French so special.

Learn French through conversation, culture and fun
My lessons are interactive, relaxed and tailored to you. As a native French speaker, my goal is not only to help you improve your French, but also to make you feel comfortable using it in real-life situations.
Each lesson usually follows three simple steps:
1. We start by talking
We take some time to chat in French about your week, your interests, current events, or anything you enjoy talking about. It’s a great way to practice speaking naturally and build confidence.
2. We learn through different materials
Depending on your goals and interests, we might work with a text, video, exercise, song, grammar point, vocabulary, or another French resource. This allows us to develop different skills while keeping the lessons varied and engaging.
3. We finish with a game
Learning doesn’t have to feel like studying! We often end the lesson with a game or fun activity to practice what we’ve learned in a more spontaneous way.
Most importantly, the lessons are built around you. Your interests, your level, your goals and the subjects you enjoy are at the heart of our classes.
Whether you want to improve your conversation skills, prepare for a trip, understand French culture, or simply feel more confident speaking French, we'll make each lesson useful, enjoyable and adapted to you.
