About Mathys

I am a native French speaker from Geneva, currently completing an exchange semester in Business Administration at UTS. Back in Switzerland, I study at the University of St. Gallen and hold a bilingual German Matura, which means I know exactly what it’s like to tackle the challenges of learning a second language from scratch.
When I am not studying or working on academic projects, I like to stay active. I spend a lot of my free time hitting the gym and working on my 5km and 10km running times. I am also quite passionate about cooking and baking (I make a great truffle pizza and hazelnut cookies!), and I love unwinding with a good sci-fi movie, a psychological thriller, or an episode of Suits.
I want to teach because I genuinely enjoy sharing my language and culture. I know that practicing speaking can be intimidating, so my goal is to bring the same focus and motivation I have for my own hobbies into creating a relaxed, supportive, and effective learning environment for my students.

I offer French tutoring for all levels, whether you are a student preparing for exams or someone looking to improve conversational fluency. A typical 60-minute lesson is straightforward and split into two parts: a structured review of grammar and vocabulary, followed by practical conversation to get you speaking confidently.
My approach is patient and organized, but relaxed. We will focus directly on your personal goals and use topics that actually interest you, ensuring you progress efficiently.
