About Baptiste

Bonjour! My name is Baptiste. I am a French native born in Perpignan, in the south of France. Growing up there gave me a deep love for the French language and culture. I recently graduated from Point Park University with a degree in International Business Management, where I also spent four years competing as a dedicated student-athlete.

Having played competitive soccer since I was 5 years old, I have built a strong sense of discipline, patience, and team leadership—skills that make me an encouraging and structured tutor.

Outside of academics and sports, I love listening to music, exploring the outdoors through hiking, and discovering new cultures. I look forward to bringing my high energy, professional background, and authentic native perspective to our lessons to help you succeed!

About the lesson

Bonjour! My name is Baptiste. I am a native French speaker, a recent International Business Management graduate from Point Park University, and a former collegiate student-athlete.
Because of my background, I don't teach like a traditional, boring textbook. I bring the same energy and discipline I used on the sports field into our lessons. I look at language learning like coaching—my goal is to keep you motivated, build your confidence, and get you speaking real French from day one!

My Approach & Methodology
I use a friendly, communication-first approach. We focus on how French is actually spoken in real life, not just how it’s written in grammar books. My techniques are simple:
Real Conversations: We practice by talking about things you actually enjoy (sports, music, daily life).

Pronunciation Focus: I'll help you catch the small cultural details and accent tricks that make you sound like a native.

No Stress: Errors are just part of the game. I keep a relaxed, supportive space where you can practice without feeling judged.

A Typical Lesson
Our 1-hour sessions fly by because they are split into easy, manageable steps:

The Warm-Up (10 mins): A casual catch-up in French to get your brain ready.

The Daily Goal (20 mins): We learn a practical new topic, like specific vocabulary, a helpful grammar rule, or business terms.
Game Time (20 mins): We practice it out loud through fun role-plays or talking about a video/article.

Wrap-Up (10 mins): A quick review of what went well and what to focus on next.
