About Sebastien
I graduated from an English master's degree at La Sorbonne. I gave lessons in two grammar schools in Northern Ireland to prepare pupils for A-Levels from 2019 to 2021 and I've been tutoring for more than 6 years. I've been teaching English in France for 2 years now.

I base my classes on interactions about different general topics, with support of French media documents (recent news, video, music). I like to make learners think on different subjects and making them come with opinion pieces on topics they care about as a way for them to express themselves. Depending on how confident the learner is, I can teach solely in their target language for them to learn as I talk. For uni students and adults, I believe learning through natural conversations and explaining key elements in-between conversation is a friendly way to learn while feeling equal and progressively confident.

I have been meeting Sebastien weekly now for several months to improve my French. I have enjoyed it very much. Sebastien is a language teacher by profession so he knows how to tailor lessons to whatever level you have (B1 for me). He speaks fluent English. In particular, he is very encouraging and I always feel good after a lesson. From the outset he gently dissuaded me from speaking English, and I am glad of this now, as it has allowed me to practice my French. My French speaking and listening, in particular, has definitely improved since meeting regularly. I would recommend Sebastien to learners of any level as I am certain that he is able to tailor lessons to any level.
