About Milo

Hello and welcome! / Bonjour !

I’m thrilled that you are considering learning French with me. Learning a new language is an amazing challenge, and finding the right tutor makes all the difference. Here is a little bit about who I am and why I love teaching.

Who am I?
I am a native French speaker and a graduate engineering student in France, with a strong focus on mechanics and naval engineering. When I am not studying, I am usually out on the water. I have been passionate about maritime sports since I was a kid—I surf, kitesurf, and compete in regatta sailing. I also love playing golf, watching cinema, and travelling internationally. Having studied in the UK, I know exactly what it feels like to immerse yourself in a foreign language and culture!

Why do I teach?
Teaching is something I naturally gravitated towards. I currently work as a private tutor, teaching mathematics and physics to high school students. Explaining complex scientific concepts requires a lot of patience, method, and the ability to adapt to each student’s unique way of thinking.
I quickly realised that teaching French requires the exact same skills. French grammar and conjugation can seem intimidating, but just like a math problem, it becomes incredibly easy once it is broken down logically.
I also teach because I genuinely love connecting with people. Whether you are an absolute beginner needing a highly structured approach, or an intermediate speaker wanting to have relaxed conversations about sports, travel, or everyday life, my goal is the same: to create a pressure-free environment where you feel totally confident making mistakes and progressing.

My Bilingual Advantage
I hold a certified advanced level in English (TOEIC 905 / C1). This means that if you ever feel lost, confused by a grammar rule, or unable to find your words, I can seamlessly switch to English to explain it clearly. You will never feel stuck in my classes.

Are you looking to brush up on your French conversation, prepare for a trip, or finally understand those tricky grammar rules? I’m here to help!
As a native French engineering student with a strong academic background, I offer engaging, tailored online French lessons for all levels—from absolute beginners to advanced speakers.

What I offer:
- For Beginners: Structured lessons with a logical approach. We will break down French grammar, conjugation, and basic vocabulary step-by-step so you can build a solid foundation without stress.
- For Intermediate/Advanced: Interactive and fun conversation classes. We can discuss everyday life, travel, cinema, sports (I love sailing, surfing and golf!), or any topics you enjoy, helping you gain fluency and confidence. I use "passive correction" so you can speak freely, with dedicated feedback at the end of the session.
