About Johannes

Hello, I'm Johannes! I'm here because I really enjoy learning, both for myself and helping others along the way. I'm very passionate about my subject, German, and am a native speaker and experienced language teacher. I also have a strong educational and academic background. I hold a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Cambridge, a BA and MA in Philosophy, and a BSc and MSc in Psychology. I have also worked as a supervisor and lecturer for the University of Cambridge, and have extensive experience of private tutoring as well. You can expect excellent quality of teaching in a relaxed setting, that will be receptive to you, and your interests and goals in learning German. I look forward to hearing from you!

About the lesson

I am an experienced German tutor and specially trained to teach German naturally and systematically. I studied with Linguisticator, where I learned to break down consciously all the elements and layers of the German language. I gained experience as a teacher through developing German language courses for refugees in Austria, and the success of this project encouraged me to keep tutoring. I can teach you at any level, whether you simply want to learn the language, or for academic and professional purposes. We can practice any aspect of the language system in a clear and applied way, and solidify this with exercises tailored to where you are. If you prefer, we can also work more immersively, and focus on conversation and reading together.

Perfect! I have had only few lessons with Johannes but the lessons proved to be enjoyable. We went through some basic grammar and revision directly to text understanding and applying the learnt skills. Great tutor!
