About Angela
Hallo :) I am a native German speaker and secondary MFL Teacher for German and French in London. I have experience in teaching all year groups within secondary school up to A-level, and also adult teaching.
I have been fascinated by languages since my early days. Languages are a crucial way to learn about other cultures and bring people closer together by allowing a wider discourse, stimulating intercultural awareness and empathy. I have very strong subject knowledge due to my academic studies and by being a native German speaker who has spent their whole life living and learning in a German speaking country. My subject mentor stated: “Angela promotes a positive attitude to learning, sets high expectations and projects a love of languages and language learning. She encourages students to see links across languages as well as with other subjects on the curriculum and situations in the wider world.”

I am a believer in personalised and playful learning and always try to engage my students with content they are genuinely interested in. This makes the learning much more fun and meaningful.
My first goal as a language teacher is to make my students feel comfortable and motivated and to use the target language as much as possible during lessons. As such, I try to speak in the target language wherever possible, without overwhelming my students but by giving them the right framework so they feel like they have pushed their learning as far as possible after each lesson which achieves a real sense of achievement.
