About Antonella
I am Italian, born and raised in Trieste, Italy. PhD graduate. I am very patient because I love to help my students express their full potential! I split my time between Italy and the US. I am available for in-person Italian guided tours of the Venice area and the Northeast of Italy. By training, I am a Neuroscientist of Learning and Memory. I worked at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory (NY) and at Georgia Tech, Atlanta for +10 years. I authored peer-reviewed scientific publications on Learning and Memory. I have worked in International Organizations (UN) for more than 15 years, I understand the effort it takes to live and work using a foreign language. Certified Life and Business Coach (Erickson International), and Cross-Cultural Coach. I like to use elements of coaching in my classes. When I am not teaching, I am sailing on the northeast coast of Italy. NB: I divide my time between Italy and the US, so I may be in a different time zone. I use an academic curriculum but customize classes based on student's interests to keep them engaged. They look forward to their weekly classes! I got a PhD in neuroscience (learning and memory in Italy and I continued my education in the US). I believe I am a very knowledgeable person and in addition to teaching to speak Italian, I teach about Italy, the food, and culture.
