About Laila
I always look forward to hearing my students' first sentences and I strive to enable them to achieve that goal in a very short time to prove them they are going to do great from the very start. With a degree in Translation Studies, a CEDILS certificate issued by Ca' Foscari University in Venice and 5 years of experience in the field, I have passionately helped countless students reach their goals, from getting ready for a trip, to passing a test, to obtaining their Italian citizenship or talking to their family and friends in Italy.

I have been teaching Italian online for the past 5 years and designed a comprehensive curriculum that can be tailored to any student's needs at all levels. I have helped students improve their grades and prepare for finals, worked with travelers to give them the necessary tools to get around in Italy. I have also helped college students and adults with their CILS and CELI exams for citizenship or college admissions. During a lesson, I present a grammar point as well as themed vocabulary and push students to use what they've learned immediately through conversation, translation and sentence-making. I always recommend listening and reading resources that learners can use to stay motivated and progress between lessons. I am a language learner myself, I'm patient, encouraging and practical. I truly love teaching my own language and helping the world know and understand my beloved country.
