Native Italian Teacher with a Master’s Degree in Italian Language Teaching and 10 Years of Experience | CELI, CILS & PLIDA Preparation

Federica is an excellent Italian tutor: professional and well-organized, prepared for each lesson with a plan and useful materials. The lessons have been tailored for my needs, which are unusual--I speak a decent amount of Italian from some years of childhood there but I never had formal lessons. Federica moves me along at the correct pace, covering the areas I need to focus on. She is also friendly and engaging. Well worth the time and cost.

Right from the outset Federica set out a clear path for learning Italian and was straight into it from the first minute to ensure I got the most out of my time with her. She is very patient and clear with her direction and expectations, especially with homework. I thoroughly enjoy learning from her and highly recommend her.

Federica is my Italian tutor and I have been learning with her for about 6 months now. I recommend her highly. She is thoughtful about you understanding the language - and steadily moving from A1 through to whatever level you aspire to. She encourages you and helps to focus on not moving on to books or movies too quickly. She is a Professor of teaching languages (Italian and Spanish), so she is focussed on you understanding why certain grammar is so. Federica avoids rote learning methodology. You quickly realise that apps such as Duolingo are not actually assisting you at all. I have no hesitation in recommending her.

Federica is an excellent teacher! She explains things clearly and is very thorough, while also being a kind and approachable person that I genuinely enjoy talking to every week.
While I had learned some Italian before, I had a few gaps in my knowledge and Federica is great at identifying those and helping to fill them in. There are many things I have learned in our sessions that I don’t think I would have in less personalised group classes.
I began my lessons with Federica because my mum had been doing a few lessons and recommended her as a teacher. My mum and I are at different levels of Italian and have different learning styles, but we both have benefited a lot from these sessions, which demonstrates how well Federica can adapt to different student’s needs.
I would definitely recommend Federica!

Had my Italian professors in college been as thoughtful and engaged as Federica, I likely would have paid more attention in class, continued my Italian studies, and been fluent in Italian long before this point in my life. Thankfully, I found Federica now, and she will be the professor to take me to fluency—and will do so quickly. Put down the language apps on your phone, and message Federica instead!
