About Phily
Hello, I am Phily who is an Education postgraduate student at the University of Edinburgh.
I grew up in Guangdong Province, China, which means that both Mandarin and Cantonese are my native languages. In addition, I have pedagogical expertise and extensive teaching experience. For example, I have taught and tutored students in secondary schools and trained teachers in education companies in India. All these experiences have given me the ability to tutor and teach students of all ages. My teaching style is lively and interesting, and you will be immersed in my classes and get a great deal out of them!
I can teach listening, speaking, reading and writing in Mandarin and Cantonese. I will first talk to students to understand their needs and level of mastery of Chinese and then tailor the teaching to help them learn Chinese effectively.

· I can teach Chinese online remotely or in the city of Edinburgh. The teaching methodology focuses on class interaction, which will increase student motivation and opportunities for language practice.
· A lesson lasts 30-40 minutes and can be personalised to suit the student's requirements.
· I used to teach in secondary schools, group counselling, individual counselling and I have also worked as a personal tutor for secondary school students. In addition, I have various educational experiences such as being a high school science and technology camp leader, an outdoor summer camp teacher, and an intern at Innovative Education etc.
· I teach students from the age of 10 to adults.
