About Jane
I have had an enormous passion for learning languages since I was young. I used to host school-level events from middle school to high school and worked as a news broadcaster on the university radio station for four years in college. These experiences helped me develop the most STANDARD accent when speaking Mandarin and a sharp understanding of the language. Ten years ago, I came to the United States to study and obtained a Master's degree from the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign. Previously, I worked at Stanford University.
As an English language learner who has continued to improve my skills over the past years, I know exactly what you are going through in this process. Teaching a language to me is to help students grasp not only its grammar and accent but also its culture and history. More importantly, it's to return my positive learning experience to others interested in learning Chinese. I am patient and open-minded and love to see you grow. Hope to see you soon!
