About Scarlett
Hi there! I'm Scarlett, a native Mandarin speaker from Chongqing, China.
I'm 37 years old, and my journey has been a little different from that of a traditional language teacher.
After spending 12 years working as a corporate trainer for internationally recognized luxury jewelry, watch, and cosmetics brands, I decided to take a new direction in life.
I moved to Europe to pursue my master's degree in a business-related field, studying in both Spain and Italy. I've recently graduated and returned to China.
Throughout my professional career, I've worked closely with adult learners, helping them develop communication skills, build confidence, and grow professionally.
This experience has shaped my approach to teaching: learning should be efficient, practical, and enjoyable.
Outside of work, I'm a passionate traveler. So far, I've visited 17 countries, and I love discovering different cultures, meeting new people, and hearing their stories.
Having lived and studied abroad myself, I understand how challenging — and rewarding — learning a new language can be.
I believe language learning is about much more than vocabulary and grammar. It's about connecting with people, understanding different perspectives, and discovering new opportunities.
Whether you're interested in Chinese culture, everyday conversations, business communication, or simply want to explore something new, I'd be happy to share my language, culture, and experiences with you.
You tell me what you'd like to achieve, and together we'll find the best way to get there.
I look forward to meeting you!

My approach to teaching Chinese is simple: learning should be practical, engaging, and tailored to your goals.
With 12 years of experience as a corporate trainer for international luxury brands, I've spent much of my career helping adult professionals develop communication skills and learn effectively.
I understand that adults have different learning needs, and I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach.
What can you expect from my lessons?
1. Personalized Learning
Our first lesson will focus on understanding your current Chinese level, interests, and learning goals. Whether you're learning Chinese for business, travel, everyday conversations, or personal interest, I'll adapt the lessons to your needs.
2. Real-Life Conversations
Rather than focusing only on textbooks, we'll explore practical situations, useful expressions, and topics that genuinely interest you. I believe speaking with confidence is just as important as learning vocabulary and grammar.
3. A Typical Lesson
A typical 60-minute lesson may include:
- 5–10 minutes: Warm-up conversation and review.
- 15 minutes: New vocabulary and useful expressions.
- 20 minutes: Guided conversation and practical exercises.
- 10–15 minutes: Feedback, corrections, and questions.
The structure is flexible and can be adjusted to your learning pace and goals.
4. Business Chinese & Cultural Insights
My professional background in luxury retail, brand training, and business allows me to bring real-world experience into our conversations.
If you're interested in doing business in China, working with Chinese colleagues, or understanding Chinese workplace culture, we can explore these topics together.
5. A Comfortable Learning Environment
I've traveled to 17 countries and completed my master's studies in Spain and Italy. These experiences have helped me appreciate different cultures and understand the challenges of learning a foreign language.
My goal is to create a relaxed, supportive environment where you feel comfortable speaking Chinese, asking questions, and making mistakes.
Who are my lessons for?
My lessons are especially suitable for adult learners, including beginners, intermediate students, business professionals, and anyone interested in Chinese language and culture.
You don't need to be perfect. You just need to be curious and willing to learn.
Let's make learning Chinese practical, enjoyable, and meaningful!
