About Ariadna

I am a native Spanish speaker who moved to the UK at a very young age, which has given me a strong bilingual background. I achieved a Grade 9 in GCSE Spanish with almost full marks, and an A at a-levels again with almost full marks. During my A levels I regularly worked as a Spanish GCSE teaching assistant, receiving very positive feedback from students, teachers and parents. I am passionate about sharing both the Spanish language and culture, from everyday communication to traditions and food (including making a great gazpacho, tortilla de patatas and paella‑style black rice!). I am reliable, supportive and committed to my students’ progress, and I genuinely look forward to helping you enjoy learning Spanish.

About the lesson

I’m really passionate about teaching Spanish and helping students feel confident and comfortable using the language. I start every lesson by getting to know you and understanding what you want to achieve, then I adapt my teaching style to suit you. I teach all ages, offering academic support up to GCSE (any exam board), as well as relaxed conversation lessons for confidence, pronunciation and holidays.

As a native Spanish speaker who grew up in the UK, I understand the challenges learners often face with grammar and pronunciation, and I love helping students overcome them. I have experience teaching GCSE Spanish (including AQA), beginners, and conversational learners of different ages, as well as adapting lessons for students with ASD, ADHD, dyslexia, etc. I’m patient, friendly and encouraging, and I always aim to make lessons enjoyable. Lessons are usually one hour, with shorter options for younger children, and I offer a free 45-minute trial lesson.

Perfect! very friendly and encouraging

Ariadna's response
Sharon was constantly engaged throughout the lesson and made a wonderful effort from start to finish. We took things slowly to make sure she felt confident with her pronunciation, and she did splendidly! She was attentive, willing to practise, and showed great progress throughout the session. It was a pleasure teaching her!

Ariadna helped my daughter with her Spanish GCSE, and I could not recommend her more highly. She made the lessons enjoyable and really helped build my daughter's confidence in Spanish.
She is reliable, well organised and always happy to be flexible if a lesson needs to be moved. My daughter felt comfortable with her straight away and was much more motivated to study Spanish after starting lessons with Ariadna.
Thanks to her support, my daughter achieved a great GCSE result and developed a real enjoyment of the language.

I wanted to improve my Spanish conversation skills before travelling and Ariadna was exactly the tutor I needed.
She is friendly, patient, and very easy to talk to, Which made me much more confident speaking Spanish . She helped me improve my pronunciation and understanding, and I quickly became more comfortable having conversations instead of worrying about my mistakes.
The lessons were always enjoyable and relaxed, and I noticed a real improvement after just a few weeks. I now feel much more confident speaking Spanish when travelling and would definitely recommend Ariadna to anyone looking to improve their conversational Spanish.

I know Ariadna because she attended the same school as my daughters, and another parent recommended her when I was looking for some extra support for my eldest daughter's Spanish GCSE. I have been very impressed with her teaching. What I appreciate most is that she makes the lessons enjoyable and engaging while still helping my daughter make excellent progress. My daughter always looks forward to her lessons, and Ariadna's enthusiasm for the language has helped her develop a real interest in Spanish as well.

One thing that stands out is the confidence my daughter has gained since starting lessons with Ariadna. She feels much more comfortable with the subject and is far more motivated. So far, her mock exam results have been very encouraging, and we are hoping for a great GCSE result.

I would highly recommend Ariadna to anyone looking for a friendly, reliable and effective Spanish tutor.
