About Ivana Rebeca
I grew up in Quito, Ecuador, and I am a native Spanish speaker. I am currently a student at UC Berkeley studying Political Economy, with a focus on Latin America.
I am also fluent in French and currently learning Portuguese, so I understand firsthand what it means to learn a Romance language and the challenges that come with it.
I place a strong emphasis on pronunciation and natural speaking, as I believe this is key to building confidence and sounding fluent in real conversations.
My approach is patient, supportive, and relaxed, and I aim to create a comfortable environment where you feel confident practicing and making mistakes.

I focus on helping you speak Spanish naturally and confidently through real conversation. My lessons are relaxed, informal, and fully personalized to your goals, whether you want to improve for travel, social situations, or everyday use.
A typical lesson is conversation-based: we’ll talk about real-life topics, and I’ll help you with vocabulary, pronunciation (which is key!), and natural phrasing as we go. I also introduce useful expressions and slang (mostly Latin American) so you sound more like a native speaker.
As a native Spanish speaker, I can help you move beyond textbook Spanish and actually feel comfortable speaking in real situations. Additionally, as a student of other foreign languages myself (French and Portuguese), I understand what is actually helpful for learning a Romance language. My lessons are for all levels, especially intermediate and advanced learners who want to improve their speaking skills.
