About Laura
I have dual nationality, being a native Portuguese and Spanish speaker, which allows me to easily identify common errors in "Portunhol" (a mix of Portuguese and Spanish). I am currently completing my Master's degree in Computer Engineering at Técnico and have already taught computer science to undergraduate and graduate students, an experience that has made me proficient in explaining concepts clearly and tailored to each individual. For me, teaching is more than just instructing: it's a hobby that allows me to help people achieve their goals in a fun and motivating way.

I study in Portugal but I'm a native Spanish speaker and have spoken Spanish daily since forever, which allows me to help students learn real, natural, and correct Spanish, avoiding the most common mistakes of so-called "Portunhol" (a mix of Portuguese and Spanish).
My classes are designed to fully adapt to each student, respecting their pace, level, and goals.
What can you expect from my classes?
- 100% personalized classes, according to your goals (school, work, travel, or conversation)
- Focus on oral communication, to gain confidence speaking Spanish from the start
- Clear and simple grammar explanations, always applied to practical examples
- Vocabulary and pronunciation work, with special attention to false friends between Portuguese and Spanish
- Everyday conversation topics: daily life, culture, current events, travel, among others
- Practical exercises during class and suggestions for independent practice at home
- Dynamic, light, and motivating classes, with real-life situations
Who are the classes for?
- Beginners who want to start from scratch
- Intermediate or advanced students who want to improve their fluency
- Students who need academic support
- Adults who want to learn Spanish for personal or professional interest
My goal is for you to feel comfortable speaking Spanish, learning naturally and without stress :)
