About Lily

My mother is Spanish and my father is English. I grew up in Seville, Spain speaking both languages. Having learnt two quite different languages to native level, I discovered a passion for languages but I was also exposed to the difficulties of learning a new language and how to improve pronunciation coming from a different set of sounds. I have been an English and Spanish tutor for the last year and have really enjoyed helping people open up a new channel of communication with the world!

About the lesson

My lessons are usually an hour long.

I believe that language is all about communication, that's why I aim to get you speaking from the get-go! We will look at vocabulary and grammar but always through a conversational focus, so that you can actually use everything we learn in a real-life context.

I’ve had the pleasure of developing my cello playing ability with Lily, and she's been amazing! Her teaching style is patient, clear, and incredibly encouraging. She has a great way of breaking down difficult techniques so they feel manageable while still keeping lessons engaging and enjoyable. Lily is open about that fact that she has often struggled with her instrument and this means that she is really empathetic and patient with me when I feel like giving up. I can't recommend her enough!
