I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Spanish and Journalism from Louisiana Tech University! I am a native Spanish speaker - with Honduran and Mexican roots- and have tutored Spanish and English for several years as well as having taught Spanish classes.

My teaching approach is based on the Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling method, TPRS.
It is a language teaching method based on the idea that the brain needs enormous amounts of Comprehensible Input (CI) to acquire a new language.
Children acquire language through repeated exposure to CI. They need to hear new words repeated over and over again, in context. It is based on the coordination of language and physical movement.
What does this mean for class? LOTS OF STORYTELLING AND SONG!
