About Luz
Dear future Student,
My name is Luz, I am a pre-med student, and my hope is to become a pediatrician in the future. My native language is Spanish and it is the language I speak at home, but I also learned English when I was 4 years old. I have been through the process of learning a new language and I know what it feels like to have words in front of you that your are just beginning yo learn. Learning a language is consistency and a process like everything in life and it is possible. If you learn with me, I promise that you will have a fun time, learn a lot, and have a great accent. We would not only take notes like in class, we would talk a lot, play game, make some projects, and before you know it you will fluent! It will be a great time. I hope to see you soon,

For me it is very important to have an interest or be motivated in the topic you are learning. I believe it is my job to make you feel excited for class and motivated to continue the process. A typical lesson would be introducing ourselves and starting to learn topics that you are interested in. From there, we would continue with the rest of the topics mixed in with what you like. There would speaking, reading, writing, practice, etc. When I was in high school, I was the president of Spanish National Honors Society and we taught the elementary kids Spanish once a week for one hour and a half. These kids became very motivated and told us they want to learn Spanish in middle school. This something that should be happening after the lessons. The lessons would be adjusted depending on the age and experience and from there we would move on and learn more.
