About the lesson

Hello! How are you? My name is Marilyn, and I'll be your Spanish teacher. We're going to learn and practice the basics of conversational Spanish, focusing on comprehension.

What are we going to do?

Introduction (5 minutes):
We'll start by greeting each other in Spanish and introducing ourselves. For example, I'll say, "¡Hola! ¿Cómo estás?" and then introduce myself: "Me llamo Marilyn. Soy tu profesora de español."

Warm-up Activity (10 minutes):
We'll review basic greetings and common responses like "Hola", "Buenos días", "Buenas tardes", and more. We'll also practice how to respond when someone asks "¿Cómo estás?".

Presentation (15 minutes):
I'll use slides or visual aids to teach you new vocabulary related to introductions in Spanish. We'll learn how to ask and respond when meeting someone new.

Practice Activities (20 minutes):
We'll practice through role-play and dialogues. For example, we'll simulate situations where you meet someone new and practice how to greet appropriately based on the situation.

Review and Feedback (10 minutes):
We'll go over what we've learned today and you'll receive helpful tips on pronunciation and language usage. If you have any questions, this is the perfect time to ask!

Homework (if applicable):
I might assign you a simple task, like writing a short dialogue using the greetings and introductions we learned today.

Closing (5 minutes):
To wrap up, I'll summarize what we've learned today and discuss when we'll meet again for our next lesson.

I'm excited to help you learn Spanish today. Let's get started!
