About Mar
My name is Mar and I am from Spain. After I finished my degree, I moved to Leeds last year to work as a Spanish Language Assistant, and I enjoyed it so much that I decided to continue working in secondary education in the UK. I know what the struggles of learning a new language are and I try to make my students feel as comfortable and confident as possible in their learning!

Spanish native speaker, graduate in English Studies (in Spain) and in my second year working as a Spanish Language Assistant in UK secondary schools and teaching Spanish to British students. I am based in Leeds, so I offer face-to-face lessons, but they can also be online. I have experience as a Spanish FLA and teacher, helping students prepare for the GCSE Spanish exam, especially the Speaking part. My approach and methodology will depend on each student's needs and requests, but I give a great importance to learning the grammar and vocabulary, always in a fun way.
