About Elisa
I am a native Spanish speaker from Spain and a qualified educator with a PGCE in Spanish and a degree in Social Education. I also hold a qualification in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language (ELE).
I have experience teaching Spanish in UK secondary education, working with students across different age groups and abilities. I am familiar with the current GCSE and A-Level Spanish specifications and particularly enjoy helping students develop their confidence in speaking and prepare effectively for their examinations.
Alongside secondary school students, I teach adults and learners who want to study Spanish for conversation, travel, personal development or simply for the enjoyment of learning the language.
As a native speaker and trained educator, I bring both authentic Spanish language and culture into my lessons while adapting my teaching to each student's individual needs and learning style.
I am friendly, patient and supportive, and my aim is for students to feel comfortable using Spanish while making clear and consistent progress.

My lessons are personalised to each student's level, goals and learning style. I teach Spanish to GCSE and A-Level students, as well as adults and learners who want to improve their conversational Spanish.
For GCSE and A-Level students, lessons focus on the four key skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing, with particular attention to exam technique. I introduce exam-style questions and past papers early so that students become familiar with the format and build confidence before their exams.
Speaking is an important part of my lessons. As a native Spanish speaker, I encourage students to use Spanish as much as possible, adapting the level of immersion to their ability and confidence.
For A-Level students, I can also provide support with essay writing, speaking exam preparation, and the study of Spanish literature and film.
For adult learners, lessons can focus on practical Spanish, conversation, pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar according to individual goals.
My aim is to create supportive, engaging lessons where students feel comfortable speaking Spanish, making progress and gaining confidence.
