About Lia

Hi! My name is Lia Harney, and I’m a native Spanish speaker from Ecuador. I’ve been speaking Spanish my entire life (22 years), which allows me to provide students with authentic pronunciation, natural expressions, and real-life communication skills.

I’m passionate about teaching and truly enjoy helping students grow in confidence and reach their language goals. I’m patient, supportive, and attentive to each student’s needs, always creating a positive and respectful learning environment.

You can count on me to be professional, prepared, and committed to your progress. I take pride in making every lesson engaging, personalized, and focused on helping you succeed in your Spanish journey.

About the lesson

In my lessons, I focus on creating a comfortable and engaging environment where students feel confident speaking from day one. My teaching approach is conversation-based, combined with clear explanations of grammar and vocabulary so you can understand and use Spanish naturally.

A typical lesson includes a mix of real-life conversation, targeted vocabulary practice, and short grammar explanations tailored to your level. I adapt each session to your goals—whether you want to improve fluency, pronunciation, or prepare for travel, work, or daily communication.

What sets me apart is my patience, positive energy, and ability to personalize every lesson. As a native speaker from Ecuador, I also share authentic cultural insights and everyday expressions that you won’t always find in textbooks.

My lessons are ideal for beginners, intermediate, and advanced students who want to build confidence, improve speaking skills, and learn practical Spanish for real-life situations.
