About Leah

I have also worked at a language centre and given French and German speaking practice sessions to students, which were enjoyable 30 minute discussions on the topic of their choosing. I recently graduated from King's College London (Comparative Literature with Film BA) and I am currently doing a Masters degree at the University of Essex (Audiovisual and Literary Translation, languages).

I love teaching new languages to people as I believe they are valuable assets and broaden our perspective on the world. I believe in adapting my teaching to the individual needs and personalities of my students, and creating a safe and respectful environment for them to learn.

I have 5 years of tutoring experience. I use grammar exercises, vocabulary tests but also podcasts, articles, books and movies to generate an interest in the language.

About the lesson

Bonjour! I am a native French speaker offering lessons for beginner to intermediate levels. I have previous experience tutoring secondary school pupils: helping with homework, grammar, practicing casual conversations, reading, and writing. I specialise in teaching children (age 6-12) but I also offer lessons to teenagers and adults. My lessons are typically an hour long, and tend to include time spent on grammar excercises, vocabulary, news articles and podcasts which I recommend for the following lessons.
