About Éloïse

I was born and raised in Paris and am a qualified French teacher in England with QTS and a PGCE, for which I received a scholarship from the British Council.

Since I was a child, I learned English, German and Spanish. I am now dipping my toes into learning Mandarin, keeping me connected to thrill of learning foreign languages!

I now live in Toulouse, France and offer French lessons for pupils preparing for GCSE and A-levels.

About the lesson

Your lessons are designed for your individual progress.

The first lesson assesses your level and needs, and we will establish a few targets, for example:
- practice speaking tasks
- develop exam techniques
- be confident about verb tenses

Each lesson has the objective to fill knowledge gaps so that you can ace your exams AND be excited about learning French as a language and the diverse Francophone cultures!

Dominic is friendly and eager to learn French for his new job in Paris. He has good French pronunciation and remembers key vocabulary from his GCSEs. We will work on both his understanding and speaking confidence in the context of professional work.

Perfect! Éloïse is a friendly and approachable French native speaker who has been helping me with my reading, writing, speaking and listening skills. She is both patient and encouraging as a tutor, so I've already started to gain the confidence to go outside my comfort zone and make mistakes. This contributes to very effective learning through practice and exposure, which Éloïse reinforces with fun games and interactive activities in our sessions together. Moreover, her lessons have so far been well-planned around my goals, preferences and abilities, which were discussed in the first free session.
