About Lightness
Hello! I was born and raised in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Swahili is my native language and my passion.
I love helping foreigners discover my culture and speak Swahili with confidence. I am a very friendly, patient, and encouraging person. I enjoy meeting people from different countries and sharing the real Tanzanian life.
Many people learn Swahili from books, but they cannot speak on the street. I want to change that. I want you to feel comfortable speaking with any Tanzanian.
I love music, football, and chatting about life in Dar. I can't wait to meet you and be your first Swahili friend in Tanzania!

Jambo! I am a native Swahili tutor from Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. I teach real, everyday Swahili that Tanzanians actually speak.
My lessons are 100% focused on SPEAKING. We will not do boring grammar. From the first lesson, you will learn how to greet people, order food at a restaurant, take a daladala, bargain at Kariakoo market, and make local friends.
I teach for travelers, expats, and anyone who wants to learn Swahili quickly and in a fun, practical way. I speak clear English to explain everything easily.
I am patient, friendly, and I will adapt the lesson to your level and your goals. Lessons are on Zoom or WhatsApp video.
